More than 1,00 faithful from around the diocese gathered at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Kalamazoo on October 19, 2019 for the first-ever diocesan Eucharistic Congress. The day began with Mass, celebrated and concelebrated with over 40 priests, and ended with a Eucharistic Procession around the streets of Kalamazoo complete with Benediction.
Between keynote and breakout sessions, that made you both laugh and cry, participants were able to spend time adoring our Lord in Adoration and had opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
During the congress Bishop Bradley announced that he will be publishing a pastoral letter, Loving God and Our Neighbor: Living the Mission of the Eucharist, prior to the first Sunday of Advent. The letter will focus on the Eucharist and will prepare us to enter into the Year of the Eucharist. (see page 17 for more details; see back cover for Year of the Eucharist prayer written by Bishop Bradley).
